A workshop Tuesday October 8th to Monday October 14th, 2013
Paint sketch, photograph, but also dine and relax in the footsteps of Italian Renaissance artists..
In addition to sketching , painting and photographing, you also will have the opportunity to explore a particular aspect of Tuscany’s history and culture by visiting a few of the most beautiful Renaissance gardens and Villas. The discovery of their shapes, perspectives, colors, lights and shades, and perfumes will be a memorable experience and a great source of inspiration. You may paint in any medium, and you don’t need to be a confirmed artist. Non-painters are also most welcome! The group is limited to 12 participants
Jann Pollard will be the instructor. She is a professional artist having led tours in various locations since 1997.

TRAVEL SKETCHBOOK AND WATERCOLOR IN TUSCANY
Saturday 19th to Friday 25th October 2013
Learning to make one's own Travel Sketchbook; mastering Color and values: two goals for that week, that will be the occasion to prepare and bring back a complete sketchbook and to develop many creative ideas.
The course will be led by Pauline Fraisse (www.paulinefraisse.com) known for the travel sketchbooks she brought back from her tour around the world and her stays in China and New York.. She is bilingual.
Autumn in Tuscany is splendid: trees and light will inspire us, as well as villages, cloisters, gardens, and the pretty town of Sienna, that we will take a tour to. . The views are magnificent from Villa Barone, its gardens and terraces: the Chianti hills, the vineyards, the olive trees and the light will be a source of inspiration, as well as the hamlets, monasteries, typical houses and the famous town of Siena, where an excursion will be organized. The worksop combines outdoors work (learning sketching and watercolor drawing), and creative layout of the sketchbook, indoors, around a table
At the end of the course, participants will bring back a full sketchbook on Tuscany its architecture, its people and its lifestyle. They will have also acquired the knowledge and techniques to choose the colors, the palette to create a sketchbook combining text and image. Of course everyone can enjoy the facilities offered by Villa Barone: tennis, fitness center, numerous lounges, and taste Tuscan gastronomy ...
