Markets

Big and small, weekly, daily, monthly or yearly, for food, antiques and/or clothes – markets are an Italian institution and tradition that have been fostered and mastered for centuries. Italian markets are lively places where you can meet the locals. They will be happy to speak to you!

Every Saturday in Greve in Chianti a food market takes place: vegetables, fruits, cheese…

Every Sunday, it is on the Panzano main square that the food market takes place. In addition, the Aprilante Market takes place every first Sunday of the month - local artisans exhibit their wares, while local producers offer honey, cheeses, salumi and much more including antiques. A feeling of "fiesta" in the air!

If you visit in September, don’t miss the famous Wine Festivals in Greve in Chianti and Panzano, held at the start of the grape harvest. The vintners meet in the village square to show their wines, often pronounced as the best of the region. You have the chance to sample the different styles of wines, chat with the winemakers and enjoy a joyful day!
